Committed to reviewing need-based requests for financial assistance
Approximately 40 percent of MMA cadets receive some level of tuition assistance, primarily in the form of partial scholarships. MMA offers partial scholarships based on the level of need. There are no scholarships for summer camp.
Your son’s application for admission must be submitted and an acceptance determination be made before financial aid and assistance is decided.
Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
$10,474/Year Tuition Assistance
Administered by the State of Texas, parents can enroll and may receive a grant of up to $10,474/year to help pay for tuition, textbooks, uniforms or other approved expenses at MMA. Students with certain disabilities may qualify for up to $30,000 annually. Funds are sent directly to MMA from the State. How To Apply
Parents must be Texas residents who are US citizens or lawful residents and must apply to the program online.
For the 2026 - 2027 school year, the application window is from February 4, 2026 to March 17, 2026. You must apply through the official state portal. Award notifications are expected to begin in early April 2026.

Scholarships for New Students
To apply for an MMA partial scholarship, simply contact the Admissions Department at 956.423.6006
Scholarships for Current Students
Current students interested in receiving a partial scholarship must submit an application to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Applications must be completed prior to May 1 of the preceding school year. The MMA scholarship committee will determine awards based on family need and student merit. Merit considerations include a review of a student's academic, military and athletic performance.
Scholarships for Scholarships for Students of Veterans
Students of fallen service members or 100% disabled veterans may be eligible for a NewDay USA Foundation scholarship. The foundation currently awards student scholarships for up to $15,000 per year for up to four years.
For 2025-26 school year, the NewDay Foundation has awarded all available scholarships for children of disabled veterans. The remaining funds for this cycle have been reserved specifically for students from Gold Star families—those who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

SPECIAL INCENTIVES
Cadet Referral Incentive
As a thank you for recommending families to Marine Military Academy, we have initiated the "Be a Friend...RECOMMEND!' incentive program that awards a $1,000 tuition credit to actively enrolled cadets for every new qualified referral.
Please download our referral packet or email the Admissions Department or call at 956.423.6006 for more information on requirements and limitations, or make a referral.
The tuition credit will apply to the current academic year, upon completion of the referred cadet's first full semester at the academy.
Legacy Program
Refer to the "Be a Friend...RECOMMEND!" referral reward program.
Sibling Program
A $500.00 tuition discount per brother, per academic semester enrolled is offered. For Summer Camp/ESL Summer Camp program a $150.00 fee reduction is awarded to each brother attending camp.
Active Duty Military
A $1,500 tuition reduction is award to cadets whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are on active duty with the U.S. military services.
