COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Developing Compassion and Selflessness
Marine Military Academy culture is deeply steeped in community involvement and develops cadets to be ambassadors of compassion, selflessness, and goodwill. As a result, MMA cadets contribute at least 3,000 man-hours a year to numerous non-profit organizations and worthy causes in the local community. The MMA Corps of Cadets is very active within the Harlingen-area community. Every year, our cadets participate in numerous service projects, including the Texas Adopt-a-Beach Clean-up, the United Blood Services blood drives, and the United Way fund drive. MMA also hosts the annual Children’s Christmas Party and provides dinner and gifts to some of the local children in the Harlingen area.
Service Clubs
MMA has several service clubs for cadets to join, offering them year-round opportunities to participate in community service projects and help their fellow neighbors.
