Boy Scouts Court of Honor
Boy Scouts of America, Troop 22 conducted a Court of Honor ceremony Thursday evening, Dec 8th, to recognize and award individual Boy Scouts for their first semester achievements. The event was attended by Troop 22 members, family, and friends of Scouting. A COH opens with the posting of the national colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, and an invocation prayer led by the Troop Chaplain, Christopher Dunn. Then begins the awards ceremony. Mr. Steve Gerber (former Scoutmaster of Troop 22) graciously accepted an invitation to present individual awards.
The ceremony was most impressive! After lots of back-slapping and hand-shakes, Boy Scouts remained behind for to celebrate the season with a Troop Christmas party! The boys enjoyed a variety of holiday beverages and tasty seasonal sweets before heading-off to evening studies. GREAT, great work here guys! Parents, please commend your Scout on a job well-done. As for Troop 22, let’s do it even better next semester!
