Welcome to our first Newsletter from the Iwo Jima Museum at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas. The newsletter will be published quarterly.

Have you visited the Iwo Jima Memorial in Harlingen, Texas? If you haven’t, you are missing out on a great treasure from the past. We house many artifacts from the battle of Iwo Jima and other battles at the museum.

Along with the history of Sculptor Felix De Weldon’s iconic Iwo Jima Monument which graces our grounds, we also include within the Museum, the history of the first Flag Raising on Iwo Jima.  Please enjoy reading our the first issue of our news letter.
