Nearly 100 veterans attended the Marine Military Academy Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11. As predicted, the rain came down at the start of the parade, but it did not dampen the spirit of the parade-goers.
People of all ages were present to pay homage to America’s heroes, including Uncle Sam himself! The Daisies and Brownies of Girl Scouts Troop 4138 also gave every veteran a handcrafted card.
All veterans joined Superintendent Col R. Glenn Hill during the parade’s pass in review and were honored by the MMA Corps of Cadets. Many veterans stayed after the parade to visit the Iwo Jima Monument and the gravesite of Corporal Harlon Block.
