Nick accepted the challenge of constructing from scratch a heavy duty, six-piece outdoor patio furniture set. He plans to donate the furniture in support of an annual fundraising silent auction event to benefit <strong>La Posada Providencia<\/strong> of San Benito, Texas\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lppshelter.org\/\">http:\/\/www.lppshelter.org\/<\/a>. He has been in-work the past several weeks on the project.<\/p>\n<p>He hopes his team\u2019s efforts will garner a significant monetary return for the organization.\u00a0 Based on the superb results so far, this shouldn\u2019t be an issue.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts5.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8984\" title=\"scouts5\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts5-300x226.jpg\" alt=\"boy scouts\" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts5-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts5.jpg 654w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>A steady focus and the application of body and mind are producing impressive results as evidenced by the photos.\u00a0 <i>Boy Scouts<\/i> Troop 22 adult leader Mr. Steve Gerber is totally devoted to MMA <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Boy Scouts<\/span>. He pitched-in with high attention to detail and workmanship standards for several hours. For that, he was suitably rewarded with a fine lunchtime meal at the MMA messhall!<\/p>\n<h2>Fellow Boy Scouts Assist<\/h2>\n<p>Fellow Boy Scouts Nathan Logan and Clay Rhodes gave no mind to Saturday liberty, and instead chose the higher calling of \u201cService to Others\u201d by assisting a fellow Scout on the path to Eagle while benefiting the local community. What an example of unselfish leadership! Commendable\u2026..most commendable.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts6.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-8985\" title=\"scouts6\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts6-300x248.jpg\" alt=\"boy scouts\" width=\"300\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts6-300x248.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mma-tx.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/scouts6.jpg 591w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>With the complete assembly of one chair, it was only fair that Nick should be the very first to take a seat. Turns out it was such a natural fit that the team had to remind him it was a patio chair, not a throne!<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps another full day and the project will be complete. Team Bailey could not have undertaken this ambitious project without generous outside support from the caring and benevolent individuals wishing him success.
