Marine Military Academy Boxing Program 2012-13<\/h1>\n

\"boxing\"<\/a>The Marine Military Academy boxing<\/b> program is underway for the 2012-13 season.\u00a0 SgtMaj Robertson is again heading up the coaching duties with Sgt. Elizondo assisting.\u00a0 This will be SgtMaj. Robertson’s\u00a023rd season\u00a0as head coach and he is looking forward to a very successful season.\u00a0 Last year, SgtMaj Robertson and Sgt Elizondo shared\u00a0recognition at the 2012 RGV Golden Gloves Boxing<\/i> Tournament\u00a0as Outstanding Coach. This year, they\u00a0are starting the year with\u00a0over 20\u00a0cadets signed up for boxing<\/u>.\u00a0 This includes\u00a0five returning from last year’s team.<\/p>\n

Returning Cadets for MMA Boxing<\/h2>\n

\"boxing\"<\/a>This year, the boxing team is fortunate to have Cadets Bruno Lopez Alverez, Alex Robertson, Meng Yu Wang and\u00a0Conner Perley return for another season.\u00a0 Cadet Bruno\u00a0Lopez Alverez\u00a0of Mexico City place first in the Junior Middleweight 156 class last year and Cadet Alex Robertson placed second in the Middleweight 165 class.\u00a0 With the experience returning this season the team is excited about this season and hopes to do even better.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Boxing Schedule 2012-13<\/h2>\n

The Leathernecks Boxing Team plans to participate in\u00a0two to three\u00a0boxing tournaments throughout the season, building up to the Regional Golden Gloves Tournament in February\u00a02013.\u00a0 Exact dates for the earlier tournaments have not been determined but will be posted as soon as they are finalized.<\/p>\n
