Marksmanship<\/b>\u00a0at Marine Military Academy<\/a> is a well rounded and complete program that introduces cadets to everything from proper and safe handling of firearms, transitioning to the fundamental of marksmanship<\/i>, to becoming a proficient competition marksman in both the air rifle and air pistol. Shooters learn to shoot from a sitting, kneeling, and standing positions. There are two types of competition matches. \u201cPostal\u201d matches are fired here at our own indoor firing range and the paper targets are then mailed to the scoring judge. \u201cShoulder-to-shoulder\u201d matches require the shooters to travel to the location and fire the match in person with all competitors present. MMA participates in both types of competitions.<\/p>\nCivilian Marksmanship Program<\/h2>\n
