Troop 22 News: New Eagle Scout

New Eagle Scout at Troop 22 Life Scout Alfonso Garcia completed his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project this past Saturday (Feb 22nd). The leadership service project is one of the final hurdles in earning the coveted title of Eagle Scout, as per the directives of the National Council of Scouting: “While a Life Scout, plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school, or your community. (The project must benefit an organization other than Boy Scouting.) Troop 22 News: New Tenderfoots

Three Scouts Earn Tenderfoot Rank On Monday, February 24th, Troop 22 Boy Scouts Miles Seaburg, Joshua Williams, and Jack Thant earned the rank of Tenderfoot Scout. They passed a rigorous board of examination chaired by Mr. Steve Gerber and SgtMajor Al Wilson, who both serve as troop adult leaders. These motivated young men are quickly proving themselves as rising leaders. A big CONGRATS goes to each! The Troop 22 weekly meeting consisted of rank advancement work. Troop 22 Campout Weekend! (2/3/14)

Troop 22 Campout Weekend! (2/3/14) Thirty-four ruggedly tough Boy Scouts of the famous Marine Military Academy Troop 22 participated in a campout the weekend of Friday, Jan 31st thru Sunday, February 2nd.  They enthusiastically embraced a primitive style camp at the Longoria Wildlife Area managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife in South Texas, 17 miles from campus. The boys arrived late afternoon with the sun quickly retiring to the other side of planet Earth. They immediately leapt into tent set-up mode in the rapidly diminishing light.
