MMA to pay homage to heroes of a forgotten battle, forgotten war To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Chosin Reservoir, Marine Military Academy will hold the Chosin Few Memorial Ceremony Saturday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Chosin Few Memorial Gate on the MMA campus in Harlingen, Texas. The public is invited to this event to pay homage to the heroes of a forgotten battle and a forgotten war. What time is it?  Military time made easy   Unless you work in an international industry, such as a global airline, most Americans never fully grasp military time. After all, “zero, two-hundred” (0200), “fourteen-thirty” (1430) and “twenty-three hundred” (2300) all sound more like money instead of time, right? Military time is based on a 24-hour clock, which is why the numbers on the clock go from 00 to 23. The United States, however, uses the 12-hour clock, which is why the numbers do not go past 12, and the “a.m.” and “p.m.” must be used. FORMER NFL PLAYER SPEAKS TO MMA CADETS Former New York Giants linebacker Keith Davis spoke to the cadets of Marine Military Academy Aug. 19. Davis, now a motivational speaker, told the cadets that being a male and a man are two different things. “You were born a male, but you have to become a man,” he said. “Male is by birth, man is by choice.” Davis told the cadets not to succumb to social pressures that will make them lose their ambition and character.
