MMA Advances in Harlingen Tennis Tournament

The Marine Military Academy Tennis team participated in the Harlingen High School Tennis Invitational on Friday, 27 January 2012.  MMA Participants included Cadets Sang, Searle and Suradevara.

Tennis conditions during the tournament where excellent with sunny skies, cool temperatures and a light afternoon wind.  Play began at eight in the morning and the last match of the day finished after eight that evening.

Cadet Searle advanced to the semi-finals where he had a very exciting and competitive match. Splitting sets he lost in a tie-breaker game with a score of 8-10.

Cadet Suradevara advanced in the consolation bracket to Saturday’s final match, but lost in straight sets.

Next Tennis Tournament

The next MMA Tennis Team tournament will be Friday, 10 February in Brownsville, Texas.
