Jodie Stryker

Jodie Stryker

Jodie Stryker is a native Texas and was born and raised in South Texas. She has eighteen years of teaching experience and holds a BA in English with a minor in Psychology and has a Master's degree in Educational Technology. Jodie is a lifetime member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. Jodie joined the MMA faculty in February 2002 and teaches Business Computer Application Systems and Business Computer Information Systems classes. Jodie's husband Duane works with the Department of Homeland Security and their two children Justin and Ashley both attend Texas Tech University. Outside of school Jodie enjoys spending time at the island, traveling and attending Leatherneck sporting events. Jodie appreciates the discipline and structure that MMA offers and enjoys being able to teach in such an environment.


Edward D. Harris

Edward D. Harris, Chief Warrant Officer-3 (USMC Ret.) is MMA's Bandmaster. He retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1998 with more than 23 years' active service, serving as a Band Officer, Enlisted Band Leader, and Trombonist throughout his career. He attended Mount Hood College in Gresham, Oregon, and is a graduate of the Advanced Band Leaders Course, Armed Forces School of Music. Ed has toured the country over the past few years, visiting many high school and junior high school bands as a clinician, guest conductor, and guest performer. As a Trombonist, he has performed and recorded with Bette Midler, Al Jarreau, Lyle Lovitt, Malcolm Arnold, and Frank Sinatra, and he remains active as a professional Trombonist. He is a well-known and respected Conductor and is also a published arranger and has numerous Big Band and Concert Bank arrangements to his credit. Ed and his wife Heidi have three daughters, Brianna, Candice, Janelle, and one son, Josh. His profession as a Jazz musician is his favorite

J. M. Morton
J. M. Morton

J. M. Morton is one of two faculty members who are graduates of MMA, having attended the Academy from tenth through twelfth grades. In his thirteen years on the faculty he has taught Health, PE, and History and has coached football, basketball, and track. He is currently teaching Health and Study Skills and sharing his talents in his position as Head Coach for the track team and offensive coordinator of the football team

 



Edgar Martinez

Edgar Martinez

Edgar R. Martinez is a Texan, born and raised in Brownsville. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and began teaching in 2005. Mr. Martinez joined the MMA faculty in July 2006 and teaches Business Computer Information Systems, Business Computer Programming and Computer Science. After school, Mr. Martinez coaches the offensive and defensive line for the Leatherneck football program. Mr. Martinez is planning to pursue a Master's Degree in Computer Science next spring. In his spare time, Edgar enjoys pursuing his continued education and spending time with family and friends.
