Troop 22 News: New Tenderfoots

Three Scouts Earn Tenderfoot Rank

On Monday, February 24th, Troop 22 Boy Scouts Miles Seaburg, Joshua Williams, and Jack Thant earned the rank of Tenderfoot Scout. They passed a rigorous board of examination chaired by Mr. Steve Gerber and SgtMajor Al Wilson, who both serve as troop adult leaders.

These motivated young men are quickly proving themselves as rising leaders. A big CONGRATS goes to each!

The Troop 22 weekly meeting consisted of rank advancement work. They practiced Boy Scout basics in seeking to earn the right to compete for rank advancement on the ladder climb to Eagle Scout. During the meeting, Scouts Miles Seaburg and William Baker earned an hour of community service by delivering an abundance of paper shavings to the local Humane Society for use as pet litter. This saves the facility significant dollars that can then be shifted towards other operating expenses. Good work guys!

No meeting is scheduled for next week as the boys will be preparing for exams and departure for Spring Break.

Troop 22 actively seeks donations or other assistance to maintain a quality program. Please contact the Scoutmaster, SgtMajor Jim Poe, at 956-423-6006×270 if you have questions about the Boy Scout program or seek to lend your support.
