The MMA Troop 22 Boy Scout Program further reinforces the academy’s mission of forging future leaders. This rewarding experience provides cadets with the opportunity to hone leadership and camping skills, earn over 120 individual merit badges, consistently advance in rank and share in strengthening bonds with fellow Scouts.
This is a quality program where memories are made and valuable skills for the future are developed. Nearly one fourth of the MMA Corps of Cadets are registered members of Troop 22, which serves to guide them down the path to the highly coveted rank of Eagle Scout. Our focus is a fast-track plan to Eagle Scout for the motivated young man in a positive environment.
Other traditional Scouting events and activities are planned for the enjoyment of our Scouts, such as Eagle Scout Leadership Service Projects, flag ceremonies and monthly campouts, which are conducted at various locations around the Rio Grande Valley.
Troop 22 meets every Tuesday evening, where the boys attend merit badge classes, work on advancement requirements or attend an occasional presentation by a guest speaker.
Membership dues of $45 per Scout per semester are charged to the parent/guardian.
