Yes, its almost ALUMNI REUNION time! Join us April 27-29, 2012 to trade war stories, reacquaint with old friends and remember!
Based on recommendations from alumni who attended last year, the decision was made to once again travel to South Padre Island. We hope you will make your reservations early, as that enables the Academy to plan accordingly and ultimately, make things happen.
The reunion will kick off on Friday at the Marine Military Academy with the presentation of alumni pins to seniors, tours, lunch with the cadets, an alumni parade and with a reception at Quarters One with the superintendent.
Once the day’s events have concluded, your rooms await you at South Padre’s Hilton Garden Inn, where 60 rooms have been blocked. That’s where the warm South Padre breeze of change sets in!
Saturday will find the reunion quartered at South Padre’s Hilton Garden Inn where you’re sure to be impressed with their outstanding accommodations and down-home hospitality, situated along the sandy shoreline. You will be able to enjoy as much fun in the sun as you can possibly squeeze into one day — or do whatever you choose — as the entire day is at your command. You can start the day aboard Captain Murphy’s five-hour deep sea fishing trip with Colonel Hill or tee off at South Padre Golf Club with Lieutenant Colonel Grider. Of course, if that doesn’t interest you, there’s always kayaking, parasailing, dolphin watching or simply relaxing at the hotel pool and hot tub.
Remember to bring your Hawaiian attire for that evening's aloha themed social, which begins with a poolisde happy hour from 1800-1900 at the hotel's Palapa Bar, followed by a buffet dinner.
Saturday promises to be a great day for creating some new war stories as well as reminiscing about those timeless memorable experiences from years gone by. This is your weekend, so let’s make it happen — FALL IN — and enjoy your 2012 MMA Alumni!
